Low-cost counselling for LGBTQ+ counselling students

Off Beat Therapy

From September, I will have two low-cost spaces available for student counsellors who are required to be in therapy while they study.

I know how difficult being in training can be, particularly with the addition of issues that affect queer students and counsellors. I hope to provide a space where you feel safe to be your whole self while you learn to hold space for others.

About you

You may be a Level 4 (or equivalent) student who requires counselling for a set number of hours, or the duration of your qualification.

The sessions are open to anyone of any identity, but you may be a queer, trans or autistic trainee looking for someone who will understand the nuances of your experience.

About me

I am a qualified, BACP registered trans masc/NB/ND counsellor. I specialise in working with trans, queer and autistic individuals. I also run training workshops for therapists, teaching about the complexities of queer culture.

The details

Sessions are charged on a sliding scale, starting from £20 per hour.

We can meet weekly or fortnightly (to be discussed). I work either online or possibly in person in Farnham, Surrey (GU9).

Your course must allow you to work with a BACP registered (not accredited) counsellor.

If you are interested in booking a chat to see if we'd be suited to working together, please get in contact.
